A great half day Tour which offers you the chance to visit the gateway to Peloponnese, Corinth.

We start the tour with a visit at the world famous gem of Athens the Acropolis. Located on top of a hill, right at the heart of Athens, you can walk on thousands of years old marbles and admire the unique architecture of the Parthenon, the Propylaea, see up close the Erectheion with the Caryatides (the female statues dedicated to goddess Athena and god Poseidon), and the temple of Athena Niky (the victorious Athena).

Continuing on we will visit Acrocorinth, the acropolis of Corinth, with the impressive walled gates and a magnificent view of the Corinthian gulf.
According to an ancient local myth, god Poseidon and Helios (the sea and the sun) disputed over the area and the verdict was that Poseidon (sea) would get the Isthmus of Corinth and Helios (sun) the Acrocorinth.

Ancient Corinth, which was the site protected by the acropolis’ walls, in 6th century B.C. included Apollo’s temple, a theater, the forum or Agora – an important meeting point at the time since Corinth was an important trading city, standing half way from Athens to Sparta,- and even a bathhouse. Also, see the Vima, a stone platform that is believed that St Paul once stood in front of gathered judges, as he lived in Ancient Corinth for two years.
Admire all this, in front of a divine background of the scenery created by the sea view of the Corinthian gulf.
Comfortably finally, return to Athens in time for a late lunch of your choice.
