This Private Day Tour to Athens and Corinth naturally begins in Acropolis. On top of a hill at the center of Athens, walk through the Propylaea, which stand as the entrance of Acropolis, where the famous Parthenon, the temple dedicated to goddess Athena, is located. Then, take pictures next to the Erectheion with the Caryatids, the temple ofAthena and Poseidon, as well as the Temple of Athena Niki.
Following that, we will visit the the ruins of the once renowned as the largest temple in Greece the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Further up the street we find the Panatheneaic Stadium where the 1896 Olympics opening and closing ceremonies were held and which is made entirely from white marble.
As we continue our tour we can observe the Old Palace and reach the contemporary Greek parliament at the front of which stands the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with its guards the Evzones. From Syntagma Square we make our way to the impressive Catholic Cathedral.
Furthermore, we go on to admire the three buildings called the Neoclassical Trilogy, comprised by the Academy of Arts, the National Library and the University of Athens, remarkable representatives of Neoclassical architecture, imitating famous ancient buildings.
Then, we make our way to the peninsula of Peloponnese through the spectacular canal, the Isthmus of Corinth, a picture perfect spot!
Finally, we make our way to Ancient Corinth where we will visit the temple of god Apollo, and the Forum or Agora (meeting point). We will see an ancient theater and even a bathhouse. Walk at the footsteps of St Paul, who lived in Ancient Corinth for two years and stand at the Vima, the stone platform that is believed that St Paul once stood in front of gathered judges.
